It’s almost an article of faith in fund raising: One prepares for a capital campaign by conducting a feasibility study (sometimes called a “planning study” or “market study”).
The study, according to the conventional wisdom, allows you to determine whether the proposed campaign can succeed, and to what extent.
But there’s a lot more to it than that … and sometimes a feasibility study can even limit your potential success. It’s all spelled out in this brief special report (in which I also “spill the beans” on how most consultants think about this).
